Day 3310 – Three Months Ago, I Started Traveling Jen Finding Zen

I can’t believe it’s been three months since I decided to jump in on a new business idea, a blog to encourage folks that road trip travel is so much more accessible than they realize. I’ve definitely had moments of “what the heck am I doing? Why am I starting ANOTHER thing to take my attention???” But my why is that I have been so moved by road trip travel that I want to share it with others.

Road trip travel has become such a part of my life that it’s my new normal. My aim is to encourage others that it can be part of their normal too.

Day 3279 – My New Project – Traveling Jen Finding Zen

I’ve been hinting about it for a few months and I am ready to announce…..I am starting a new blog! The purpose will be encouraging others that they CAN take a road trip and that it is much more accessible than they think. We’ve taken four cross-country road trips and I love telling people how possible it can be to take a trip.

There were a few things that happened in my life that created a perfect storm of the perfect timing to jump in. I purchased a blog course bundle to help me build my new blog, learn the right way to set things up (there are lot of things on THIS blog that I want to change now), and will be working towards making an income through the blog.

I’m still building things and like many projects, I know it will change as time goes on. I’d love to know what you guys think!

Day 3117 – Remembering Bret’s Previous Business

I have to say, it has been so much fun working with Bret again on a business. We are both serial entrepreneurs and just love working in businesses with him.

A few years back, Bret started a personal training business. While that only lasted a short time, it was a great learning experience.

One market we tried to get into was the wedding industry. So what did we do? Well, put me in my wedding dress and threw me outside to “workout” in it!

This was taken in 18 degree weather….and it felt like 4.

Day 1273 – Gaitan Personal Training – It’s Official, My Hubby Is A Business Owner!!

Ok, can I first just say….how cool is my hubby?

After two days of staying up until 3 a.m. (or later*), Bret has his web presence!!

Let me share a few quotes from his page (ha, talk about an easy blog day!)

“I love helping other people make positive changes in their lives. But there are so many trainers and programs out there, it might seem overwhelming deciding who to go with. Let me tell you, I might not be right for you. Come on a walking consultation with me and we can decide if I am right for you. It’s free, you get good conversation, a little exercise, and if I’m not right for you, I might be able to direct you to a trainer who is.”

“I love using practical training to help real people make real results. You don’t have to have experience working out and going to gyms. In fact, there is so much bad information out there, you might be better of not having experience in exercise and gyms. Have you noticed how trends in fitness constantly change? Let me tell you what hasn’t changed recently: the human body. Fitness should be achieved using practical and natural movements. I don’t care who you are, or what your experience and abilities are, I can find a way to work with you to help you lose fat, gain muscle, and just generally improve your health.”

A few of his qualifications and achievements…..which I’m glad I can share! My husband is a truly humble man and doesn’t like to “toot his own horn” but he is in amazing shape and has done some really cool things. So, HA! I can finally share!

  • “Cross-country (I have competed nationally multiple times and achieved All-American status)”
  • “Track and Field events (I have competed nationally multiple times and was a member of a relay team that broke a national record)”
  • “I continuously achieved the highest possible score in the Marine Corps’ physical Fitness test, and on multiple occasions received the award for having the highest physical fitness score of the units I served in.”
