It’s no secret that I love Dunkin’ Donuts. I’ve shared how much I spent at one point. Oy. But I wanted to give a shout out to their app. They introduced On The Go ordering last year, and I have to say, it is amazing. I honestly didn’t start using it until they had a promotion. Basically, you got a free drink if you tried it. Since then, there are other promotions like, a $0.99 medium coffee if you order on the go. I rarely order at the register any more. Sure it takes away from interaction with the person at the register, but it takes away any mistakes in my order too. Because of the promotions, I can’t remember the last time I paid full price for my coffee. There are always promotions to help you save. Even right now, there’s one where if you add $10 to your account using Visa Checkout, you’ll get $5 free.
My favorite experience using the app was a time where I had to rush to the restroom before I ordered. While I was in the restroom, I ordered my drink using the app. By the time I was finished, my drink was ready to go. Seamless.
If you love Dunkin and aren’t using the app yet, I have to ask, do you not like saving money? 😉

As you know, Dunkin Donuts is a big part of my life. Living within walking distance has really upped my game (and depleted my wallet). Today, Bret and I went for a walk and ended up grabbing some coffee and treats. I got a coffee cake muffin. When I ordered it, the guy asked if I wanted it heated. My mouth dropped and I said “of course!” Friends, it was delightful. 🙂
I have no shame in admitting I love Dunkin Donuts iced Oreo coffee. I reward myself with it on a good day. I use it to lift my spirits on a bad day. It’s a good thing it’s a four minute walk to Dunkin from my front door.
I got soooo much done today and this big guy was my treat. *swoon*
I only had one thing on my to-do list today…well, that HAD to be done today….return some books to the library and mail an album and a few DVDs. As I’m driving up to the post office, I see some dark smoke floating around. Hmmm, I wonder if there’s actually a fire? Weird.
As I pull around the curve and go to turn into the parking lot, I see the source of the smoke. Holy smokes! It’s a CAR ON FIRE! Sitting right in the middle of the parking lot in front of the post office, was a car totally engulfed in flames. I parked the car (my mom’s) and thought, hmmm, I guess I can still run into the post office and return my books….but then I thought, you know, those books can return themselves later and I can go to another post office.
So after a little detour, I’ve sent my mail and am about to go home. Now, let’s talk about a little quirk I have….I HATE left hand turns…especially on busy roads. I honestly will reroute my whole trip based around left hand turns…or lights. A further sidenote, when Bret and I were searching for a place to eat last night, he was commenting about making a few right hand turns…and said, wow, you have rubbed off on me!
Anyways (shut up rambling Jennilyn!), I thought, well, I don’t feel like making a left, so let’s go right and get some Dunkin’ Donuts!
I now have a delicious cup of coffee and three donuts.
So, even if there’s a metaphoric car on fire in your day, just grab a cup of coffee. 🙂
I was about to pour my cup of coffee into a boring black coffee mug and saw a fun mug….I have a few fun mugs….it’s really hard for me to NOT buy more! Ah, I love fun stuff. Mugs, pens, toys. I’m actually surprised at how little I’ve spent on things like that over the last 937 days (note the connection). But I’ve realized those things aren’t vital to my “collection of stuff.” Anyways! So, I pulled out this mug….
This came from my job at the University of Maryland. It was left in an office of a former employee and I took it as my own. I can’t remember now if I actually asked him if I could keep it (I think I talked to him after he left….) but! it’s one of my favorite mugs! Love it! It’s not a good “reheat” mug….coffee goes EVERYWHERE….which you know I have experience with…anyways. It got me to thinking….what items have you “taken” from previous jobs? And why?
I was then sitting down to write this blog and I noticed a chocolate wrapper I had opened last night and saved. It’s just so darn sweet. (pun somewhat intended)
I pray that I can laugh that much every day. Recently, my little heart cup has been running over. It’s making a mess all over the apartment, but I don’t mind. 😉
