Day 2540 – Road Trip Part 2 – Minnesota to The Corn Palace To South Dakota To The Badlands
On Sunday morning, Bret woke me up to this.
A few hours later, we made it to the Corn Palace in South Dakota.
South Dakota as a state is really beautiful to drive through!
We stopped at a little western town, but it cost to go into the town itself. We did however grab coffee in the train car restaurant! So cool!
Our next stop was The Badlands. Oh what a beautiful place!
Day 2028 – Marriage, It’s The Little Things
After Bret left for school today, I was doing a little work on the computer before I attempt to go back to bed (I will beat this cold!) and my phone rings.
It’s Bret telling me I have to go look outside. The sunrise is so awesome and I don’t want you to miss it!
I ran upstairs and it was just beautiful. It made me think how a little thing like wanting me to see something beautiful is actually a big thing. It shows me that he sees something cool and wants to share it with me. That I am who crosses his mind. And that he takes the extra step and calls me.
What little thing can you do for your spouse today that will be a big thing to them?
Day 1822 – Ok, I Lied To You Guys About The Beach, Apparently
The other day, I said that Thursday morning was the first time we saw the sunrise at the beach. It made our whole trip so much sweeter because of that “fact.” Well….I was trying to find some old photos to share today (since we’re coming up on our 5th anniversary)….and I found some from a few months before we got married…..at the beach…..at sunrise.
So, while I lied (unknowingly), these are some fun pictures!
Look!!! Somewhere, deep down, we knew we’d be taking ring shots in the future!!!! Way to go 2009 Bret and Jen!
Day 1818 – A Little Peek At Our Day!
Last night while driving to bible study, Bret mentioned driving to the beach (about 3 1/2 hours from home for us) to watch the sunrise! Here’s a shot of the sunrise! I’ll share pictures later, but here’s a peek!
