Day 3270 – Mini Adventure And Knocking Off A Few Summer Bucket List Items Today!

I’m scheduling this post the night before you’ll be reading it. It’s already late (7 p.m.) because we’re getting up at 1 a.m. We’re taking our first “leave super early to watch the sunrise” trip to the beach this year! I’ll share how everything went later, but I’m excited to break in our new car on his first road trip. 🙂

It’s so neat to decide on things we wanted to do this summer (watch the sunrise at the beach & get all you can eat crabs at On The Bay Seafood) and already crossing them off the list!

Day 3145 – Where I Want To Be Today…

On this day last year, we were enjoying a sunrise at the beach. We ended up getting a hotel that night. It was such a nice surprise, and honestly, one of THE best trips we have ever taken. It was so nice waking up with the ocean as a background, and sun cast across the bed. One of my big goals is to have an oceanfront condo so I can enjoy it as often as I want. My soul is totally alive at the beach.

Day 2910 – Sometimes The 5:00 a.m. Wakeup Call Is Worth It

Nearly 12 hours ago, my husband dragged me out of bed….it was my idea in the first place, but in that moment, all I could think about was pulling the blanket over my head and going back to sleep. I hope that you have someone who will drag you out of bed, especially when it was your idea. What I got when we stepped foot out of our cabin was a normal morning. After we visited the restroom, the pink started to peek through, and I accepted I was up and this was worth it.

We walked to the water to watch the sunrise, even though the best photos were taken on the walk over.

I am now home, showered, and pretty darn tired (I see a nap in my very near future), but I am very refreshed. I am grateful for the time away, I have some great experiences to share, I have some ideas for new projects, and am overall very pleased with my retreat.
