About 365 days of marriage

I started this blog in April of 2011. At the time, Bret and I were wedding photographers and it was a way to share how marriage is more about the day to day and so much more than the wedding day itself. For about 5 years, I blogged about the joys and sorrows of the Christian walk, marriage, work, family and friends. I’ve blogged every day since a few weeks after I started. In May of 2015, we photographed our last wedding. Now, I have become passionate about simplicity, particularly in marriage, Christianity, business, travel and life. For a number of reasons, we have become minimalists. I’ve found that having simplicity makes life so much deeper, refreshing and joyful. I hope that this blog will help others see the benefits of living simply.

Day 1424 – Modeling For K&B Bridals At The Brides & Grooms Expo At Pier Five

Tonight I had the fun privilege of modeling for K&B Bridals again! Moore & Co. Events also styled an awesome (as always) table.

My hair was done by Alexandra Blakeley at Lavish Salon in Fallston, MD. I LOVED what she did!

My makeup was done by Metamorphosis New York.

I wore my favorite dress at K&B!! I really enjoy getting all dolled up and being a bride again!

I also got to model with Mara Glazer!

I hope to have some more pictures later, but for now here’s one from the Innovative Presentations photo booth!

Day 1421 – A Milestone Event, A Sweet Beerpong Table, An Epic Party And A Wicked Sunburn

Today my siblings Joanna and Jonathan graduated from high school. I still can’t believe how quickly they’ve grown up and the amazing man and woman they’re becoming.

I enjoyed great conversation with some family friends outside while I ate…maybe about 2 hours…? When I came inside, Bret said it looked like I got some sun…I kind of laughed it off…I felt fine….and I wasn’t out there THAT long!

After that, we went to probably the most EPIC party ever! Our friend Tammie has awesome parties! So, there was a bounce house, an ice luge, tons of food (I had FOUR plates!) and beer….as well as THIS awesome beer pong table!

As we were sitting there, I noticed my arms were a little pink….but still didn’t think too much of it…a few more hours go by and I see myself in a mirror….yeaaaaa….as you can see, it’s a little bit worse than I thought!
