About 365 days of marriage

I started this blog in April of 2011. At the time, Bret and I were wedding photographers and it was a way to share how marriage is more about the day to day and so much more than the wedding day itself. For about 5 years, I blogged about the joys and sorrows of the Christian walk, marriage, work, family and friends. I’ve blogged every day since a few weeks after I started. In May of 2015, we photographed our last wedding. Now, I have become passionate about simplicity, particularly in marriage, Christianity, business, travel and life. For a number of reasons, we have become minimalists. I’ve found that having simplicity makes life so much deeper, refreshing and joyful. I hope that this blog will help others see the benefits of living simply.

Day 1644 – Dickey’s Barbeque Pit In Hanford, California

One of the days of our visit, I had to kill some time because Bret had something to do. I ended up hanging out with our friend Crystal. She took me to this AMAZING BBQ place in town! I think the best part for me was the marketing on the cup!

Here’s what it said!

“I really love adventures. I’m a super great travel buddy! Let’s face it, you can always pick me out of a crowd. So…where are we going?”

Genius!

Oh and it was delicious too! (The BBQ, not the cup…)

Day 1643 – Duck Commander Wine – Miss Priss

A few days back, I grabbed a bottle of the Duck Commander Wine, Miss Priss. I won’t lie, I didn’t have super high expectations. But as soon as Bret and I took a sip, that wine was pretty much gone! Oh man! Soooooo delicious!

The best part? We drank it straight from the bottle. 🙂

Second best part? It was only 9 bucks!

Day 1642 – Amazing New Wedding Planning Option In Baltimore Maryland – Be More Inspired Wedding Studio

I am SO excited to share something new for Maryland brides! Here’s a description from the Be More Inspired Wedding Studio website:

“Be More Inspired Wedding Studio is an all-inclusive studio for every wonderful thing that is wedding related. It houses the most extraordinary team of independent and award-winning vendors in the greater Baltimore area: K&B Bridals, Moore & Co. Event Stylists, Blush Floral Design Studio LLC, Faye Daniel Designs and the mobile team of Lavish Salon & Spa of Fallston.”

I’ve seen the space that they are using and it’s AMAZING!

K&B Bridals has always been a one stop shop for attire and accessories…and Moore & Co. Event Stylists has been upstairs, but now you can meet pretty much all of your vendors in one spot! Bonus points? They’re all some of my highest recommended vendors!

So if you’re planning your wedding, check them out! They’re having a Grand Opening Party on January 25th at 6 p.m. at 24 South Main Street, Bel Air, MD! I’ll be there!
