About 365 days of marriage

I started this blog in April of 2011. At the time, Bret and I were wedding photographers and it was a way to share how marriage is more about the day to day and so much more than the wedding day itself. For about 5 years, I blogged about the joys and sorrows of the Christian walk, marriage, work, family and friends. I’ve blogged every day since a few weeks after I started. In May of 2015, we photographed our last wedding. Now, I have become passionate about simplicity, particularly in marriage, Christianity, business, travel and life. For a number of reasons, we have become minimalists. I’ve found that having simplicity makes life so much deeper, refreshing and joyful. I hope that this blog will help others see the benefits of living simply.

Day 2168 – How To Get A Workout With Books

One of the things that I love about Bret is that he can come up with some fantastic workouts that don’t require a gym. He gave me one a few months back that’s pretty easy to do and cheap too!

Find something heavy and do:
30 deadlifts with heavy item
30 bent over rows with heavy item
30 hip raises with body weight only

It only took me a few minutes.

So what was my heavy item? A bag of books! You can also take a peek at a few of the books I’m currently working my way through! I held the bag from the bottom to do the workout.

Day 2167 – I Tried Crack This Weekend

I’ll be the first to admit I’m not a die hard Starbucks fan. I’m not picky about my coffee. I don’t add things to my coffee. I honestly drink instant coffee more than anything else. I’m rarely a frozen coffee drink girl, except for at Starbucks.

We went to see Jurassic World with some good friends on Sunday (GREAT movie by the way!) and had about 20 minutes to kill before they arrived. I had a few Starbucks giftcards and it was on the way…so, we stopped. It was a great to take a quick minute to chat…especially after the super packed weekend!

Well, I got the Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino® Blended Coffee. Friends, I don’t think I’ve said “Oh my gosh! This is SO good!” so many times. I can’t stop thinking about this amazing Frappuccino!

Seriously, did they put crack in it?
