Day 3476 – Countdown To The End Of This Blog

For many reasons, I made a decision yesterday – I will stop posting on this blog on Day 3500, February 9th. I always thought I would stop posting when either myself or Bret died. When it hit me yesterday, I thought, well, I’m almost to Day 3500, and that is a nice round number.

I’ve posted daily since April 16th, 2011, which is almost 8 years of creating content every day. Friends, I’m tired, maybe a little burnt out, and ready to let this go. I do have to say, when I started this post and added the tag “end of an era” I got a little choked up. This blog has been a wonderful experience and I’m so thankful for everything that has come out of it.

I hope in the free time I’m giving myself, I can actually start writing books again. My poor alcoholism memoir has been sitting on a shelf for far too long. I can’t say where you can follow along with me because I’m not really planning on posting anywhere (which is a really big relief).

It’s been a great ride and I’ll miss connecting with y’all. If you have any questions or requests for posts in the next few weeks, let me know.
