Tonight we took a trip to Mom’s Organic Market. Got a LOT of stuff! It’s been a while since we had a proper grocery trip, with all the running around and housesitting.
When we got home, I got to cookin’ and Bret did the dishes. I love that he does the dishes while I cook!
Our meal made 13 servings! It worked out to be $2.39 a serving! AND it’s all organic! Double Bonus, it’s delicious!
Other than chicken what was in it?
(it’s all organic, so I won’t repeat Organic in every ingredient!)
Stelline pasta – little star pasta!
a container of low-sodium chicken broth
3 bags of frozen veggies
Black beans
Pinto Beans
Kidney Beans
I heat up the chicken, boil the pasta, heat the veggies and beans in the microwave.
Then I mix it all together! No real “recipe”…but always a pasta (or a soup mix), a meat (Chicken, Salmon, Shrimp), beans and a veggie. I use the broth to hold it all together! If I’m using fresh veggies, I’ll heat them up in the broth.
It’s really tasty!!
