Tomorrow is the start of National Park week! To celebrate they’re offering free admission!

Here’s all of the details and the other freebie dates.

We talked about going to Fort McHenry since it’s close and we’ll be in Baltimore anyway, but we have a number of things to accomplish and might not make it.

Where will you go?

This is one of our favorite parks, Zion in Utah.

Are you able to get out today? Where will you go?

Day 2942 – World Ranger Day

We’ve visited a number of National Parks in our many road trip travels. The National Parks are amazing places to visit, and part of that reason is because of the rangers who work there. After we returned from our 2016 cross country trip, I read Ranger Confidential: Living, Working, and Dying in the National Parks* by Andrea Lankford. It was a fascinating read about the life of a ranger. It made me rethink all of my experiences with rangers, and really hope I hadn’t asked too many dumb questions, or gotten in the way. It made me really thankful for rangers. Tell me about your favorite ranger below!
