This weekend, we attended a few parties, had a night in and just all around relaxed! It’s been pretty crazy busy with Bret student teaching so it was sooooo nice to hang out with him and be like “normal Americans” and take off work this weekend. Oh and by eating lots of food! Mmmmm.
We’re making up for the fact that we didn’t get a long trip for our anniversary by treating house sitting like a vacation. 🙂
So, yesterday, we watched TV all day. Not just here and there we watched TV….no….we sat our butts in front of the TV from morning until night. It was glorious. Today is much of the same. Well, Bret is working today, and I am watching TV all day.
At one point, Bret and the dog fell asleep. He was asleep before I took the picture…. 🙂
Today, I found a super fun cup in our friend’s house. I put wine in it, obviously. I felt like I was on a cruise!! 🙂
For the next few days, we’ll be house sitting for some friends. I LOVE house sitting! Mostly because I get to eat other people’s food! But also because most of the time, it’s a really relaxing time! I normally take more books than I can read…but this time, I think I controlled myself. 🙂 I’m mostly looking forward to kicking back and catching up on said reading. Not sure how much actual work I’ll do….but that’s ok! It’s been SOOO busy, I’m going to enjoy a break!!

So, Friday I worked about 4 hours, Saturday, I worked about 15 hours, Sunday I worked about 8 hours. By today, I was tired! I took a long nap last night and then slept somewhat in this morning.
For the rest of the day, I’m not going to lie, I really didn’t do anything! I mean, I cleaned up my desk, went through my emails, did a little blogging. But otherwise, I watched Lost and played games. I edited a few of the bridal show pics, but didn’t finish. It was a fantastic day!!! Boy did I need the rest and relaxation!
