Today Bret was at work in the evening, and I decided to take a crack at the magazines under my bed. See, this is where I stash them if I can’t read them. Out of sight, out of mind. As I started pulling them out, I realized it had gotten a little out of control….
Guess I’ll pour a nice glass of wine!
In the years I was building my business, I would take trips to locations I wanted to shoot, places that were beautiful. Something I know I need to do more of, even now. There is so much beauty out there, I don’t want to miss it!
Anyways, this lovely photo was a test print when I first started using SmugMug and it hangs in our hallway. I love this photo, every time I look at it, I feel like I can walk right out onto the dock and feel the wind on my face. Ahhh.
Today is my absolute favorite day of the week. Well, for this semester at least. Bret is attending Towson University pursuing a Phys Ed Teaching degree. He works so hard, at school, at his evening job and working for me. I am so blessed by all that he does! Every semester has been a different schedule of classes. I don’t think you can have the same schedule more than once in college, to be honest. I know my schedule always changed! Well! This semester, Bret only has one class on Wednesdays and it’s in the evening! That means we can sleep in a little and actually spend some time together during the day. Today we did a little more reading in Love & War. Because we’re so busy, it’s hard to find time to read together, so this was a real treat.
This was one of my favorite gifts from our wedding. It’s such a great reminder every day about the important things.
This blog is about a number of things: telling you about our photography business and showing our work, telling you about our marriage and adventures, and really to get to know us. I think that reading this blog is like opening up our apartment door and welcoming you in. This is our life and we want to share it with you!

When I did my last major clean, I moved all of my picture magnets and other pictures to one side of the fridge. It’s right next to the sink, so I get to see all my friends when I do the dishes!
