Day 2837 – Planning A Road Trip

I have to say, writing a book about planning a road trip on any budget is really, really fun! This morning I added in a sample trip from Maine to California and I have to say, I HAVE to get back on the road again soon! I love road trips so so much. When I talk to people about our road trips, so many make comments like “I’ve always wanted to do that!” But they don’t take the necessary steps to actually take the trip. The biggest reason I’m writing this book next is so that others can take their own epic road trips. I even have a budget for under $500! It is possible to take these trips for less than you think.

Day 2824 – How To Travel More

As I’m writing my book on how to plan a road trip on any budget, I am getting a serious itch to travel, and especially to take a road trip. I love encouraging others to travel and to follow their dreams. Instead of reinventing the wheel today, I wanted to share links to some previous posts about paying off debt, getting cheap flights, and road trip advice.

One of the biggest things I want to help people fight is the “I wish I could do that someday” or “I’ll never afford to…” or “it must be nice to XYZ.” I love pushing people to realize you CAN do it some day, you CAN afford to XYZ, and you can XYZ. Even if that day is 10 years down the road, that is a date you can look forward to.

Day 2814 – Perks Of My Job – Postcards From Far Off Places

What I do for work has changed so much over the last few years. I love changing and growing and learning new things. I love using my gifts in the myriad of ways that I do. I love the people that I’ve met and work for. One of those amazing people is Lori Gross. She is a stunning pet photographer, as well as an expedition guide to Antarctica, who wants to share the Antarctic Experience with others, among many other things. She is definitely a woman after my own heart with her desire to build multiple businesses, and share her passions with others.

So not only do I get to work for such a great person who encourages MY dreams, she sends me postcards from Antarctica! The mail is MUCH slower, so even though she mailed this a while back, it just arrived yesterday. Each year, she shares photos and videos with me of what she experiences. Each year, my desire to visit increases. I cannot wait for the time I can finally see that stunning country in person with her.

Day 2806 – One Of My Favorite St. Patrick’s Day Memories!

Top of the mornin’ to ya!

Oh Facebook On This Day, thank you for reminding me of things that happened 8 years ago! On this day 8 years ago, Bret was making his cross country trek in his truck to move to Maryland, and we were less than 4 months from our wedding day. Bret just happened to pass through Shamrock, Texas on St. Patrick’s Day! When we took our first cross country trip together, Shamrock was our first hotel stay! I’m so glad I have a spouse who loves cross country travel as much as me. 🙂
