Day 2901 – Happy World Productivity Day!

Woo! I love days like today! I’m all about productivity and learning ways to better myself.

Here’s my top productivity tip for today, write out your to do list the night before. This has multiple benefits for me. It allows me to mentally let go of the things I couldn’t accomplish that day, knowing that I can try to complete them tomorrow. When I first hop into my day, I’m still a little fuzzy, and not in a place to say, ok, what should I do next? I need past Jennilyn to tell me what to do.

I’m trying something new with today’s list – I’m chunking my tasks by goals – feeding my soul (devos, journaling, reading), building community (social posts/blogging/etc), organizing my life/other’s lives (most of my to do list, lol).

What do you do to stay productive?

p.s. This is where we were one year ago today. Ahhhhh, I miss the road!

Day 2896 – How To Keep Track Of Your Bucket List

One of the great things about travel is that there are so many amazing things to see and do in this world. Even though I’ve taken four cross country road trips, and dozens of local (in the 4-12+ hour range) road trips, I am still overwhelmed with the amount of destinations I want to visit. I had so many different lists, reminders, emails to myself, and saved places on Roadtrippers, that I knew I needed a better solution.

A few months back, I finally came up with something perfect for me – I used Asana. I’m a really big fan of Asana. I use it for keeping track of tasks for my clients, for keeping track of my writing projects and ideas, and for organizing my travel reminders. It’s free, you can access it on the web or as an app. I do recommend setting everything up on a desktop web browser.

At first my list was just a long, unorganized batch of places to go. I went back through, added the locations, and sorted by location. It makes looking through so much easier. I still have many more things to add, but it’s a lot cleaner than it used to be. Here’s a screen shot my actual bucket list!

Day 2894 – And The Winner Is….

What a great contest! I have to say, I LOVED using Gleam. I’ve run a number of contests in the past, and I had to manually calculate things, keep track of entries, stay up supppppppppper late, etc. Gleam saved me SO much time! It won’t track a few things I’d like but there are paid plans if I decide to run a more robust contest in the future.

I had a blast reading responses to my questions “What do you want to learn about taking road trips?” and “What’s holding you back from a road trip if you haven’t taken one? What was your favorite road trip if you have taken one?” I really appreciate you guys answering those! It will help me create some great blog posts and give tips that you want!

It was also fun going live! It was my first time going live at our new place, and while running a contest, and pulling the winner! Woo! You can check out the video on our Facebook page! (Spoiler, I deleted like 3 videos. Doh!)
