Every time it snowed this year, I thought I wanted to try some off camera lighting shots….but every snow, my laziness got the best of me. Not this time though!
I got these a few days back. 🙂

Over the past few months, I’ve spent a lot of time defining who is my ideal client. I keep reading over and over again that when you work with people that you love, you work better and are generally happier. I’m super happy that I’ve gotten some really great clients over the years! Pretty much my ideal every time. They have traits like believing in God, loving the outdoors (outdoor weddings), loving their family, most have a dog, they enjoy working out and fill their free time with really meaningful things. Another random trait I noticed was that they watch The Walking Dead. 🙂 I’ve also read that your target client looks a lot like you…boy is this true!
On Tuesday, we went to dinner with our first wedding couple of the year. One of the things we do with every client is take the time to get to know them before the wedding. This helps to make them comfortable around us and gives us a chance to know what makes them tick. We try to do this about a month or two before the wedding.
I had seen this particular bride about 2-3 weeks ago at the Be More Inspired wedding studio. She was with her mom and they had talked about going to All About Cookies in Bel Air, Maryland. I casually mentioned that I loved snickerdoodle cookies. For no reason other than I REALLY LOVE SNICKERDOODLES!
When she arrived at our dinner with her fiance, they had a bag of three massive snickerdoodle cookies for me! I have no shame in admitting that Bret and I whipped that bag open as soon as we got to the table…before we ordered even! Amazing cookies! They had that just short of “normal” cooking time so they were all kinds of gooey…mmmmm.
So, I’m now adding – buys me cookies to my trait list. 🙂

Last night, we celebrated the birthday of my cousin Brandon! He turned 21. Wow, I still remember when he was a kid. Seems like only yesterday. It was a great night of chilling with friends and family.
I had been wearing my Mickey ears during the day…at home…for no reason other than it makes me smile.
Did I take them off when it was time to leave?
Oh heck no. I wore them on the drive over and the whole night. 🙂 I was the oldest one there and acted the youngest.
May you always do the same. 🙂

I just purchased tickets for Divergent. Holy moly am I excited! I read the books in about 4 days. Great series.
Anyways, I’m going with brother #1 and sister #only. I was tasked with getting the tickets. When I checked out the guy asked if I had a membership card…nope…was anyone a student? Yea, a college student….then he gave me student pricing for all of us! I think it’s only a savings of $3 but it definitely makes me want to come back to this theater. Way to go above and beyond Mr. Ticket Sales Guy. For a chick that will be 1 billion seconds old (see #49) in about 3 months, you made my day.
Now to sit back with a coffee and do some business work until the movie!

Best of luck to everyone who has entered!
Maybe I’ll be able to get Bret to jump in the snow in celebration!
