About 365 days of marriage

I started this blog in April of 2011. At the time, Bret and I were wedding photographers and it was a way to share how marriage is more about the day to day and so much more than the wedding day itself. For about 5 years, I blogged about the joys and sorrows of the Christian walk, marriage, work, family and friends. I’ve blogged every day since a few weeks after I started. In May of 2015, we photographed our last wedding. Now, I have become passionate about simplicity, particularly in marriage, Christianity, business, travel and life. For a number of reasons, we have become minimalists. I’ve found that having simplicity makes life so much deeper, refreshing and joyful. I hope that this blog will help others see the benefits of living simply.

Day 1173 – Happy 13th Anniversary To The Still!!

I’ve been waiting for tonight for a while! I have loved The Still in Timonium for years! I introduced Bret to it when he moved to Maryland. It’s an AWESOME Irish Pub. Ah, it will be one of the things I miss when we move.

We had a blast taking part in the 13th anniversary celebration! We had a ton of free appetizers…and they were all amazing! We also got a glass of free wine each. And then split a bottle (half price on Wednesdays!) It was the first time either of us had ever gotten a whole at a restaurant. I gotta say, it was pretty cool. πŸ™‚

I didn’t take my camera, so here’s an old picture of us wearing green.

Day 1171 – MitzyMade Soaps, Penguins and Love Songs

Last Tuesday, I took some pictures for my friend Mitzy. She makes soaps and boy are they awesome!

She gave me a few bars of soap for taking the pictures. My FAVORITE was this one…

I’ve been washing my hands twice as much just to get the little guy out!

Why was I SO excited about this? Well, check out this video. It has become a new favorite for Bret and I. It would have been our first dance song if we didn’t already have one!

Day 1170 – Accomplishing Goals

I haven’t done a post like this in a while…340 days to be exact! So, I think I’m due! πŸ™‚

Ok, so you know I run here and there….and it seems like my running isn’t so good and I have to re-train every year before the Susan G. Komen Race. BUT, this year, is different! I haven’t been running super regularly…but I’ve been doing small workouts almost every day. I realized how much it’s helped when I attempted to do a run today… πŸ™‚ I was VERY happy.

Not my fastest pace, but the fact that I could just go out and run 3.11 was pretty sweet. πŸ™‚
