About 365 days of marriage

I started this blog in April of 2011. At the time, Bret and I were wedding photographers and it was a way to share how marriage is more about the day to day and so much more than the wedding day itself. For about 5 years, I blogged about the joys and sorrows of the Christian walk, marriage, work, family and friends. I’ve blogged every day since a few weeks after I started. In May of 2015, we photographed our last wedding. Now, I have become passionate about simplicity, particularly in marriage, Christianity, business, travel and life. For a number of reasons, we have become minimalists. I’ve found that having simplicity makes life so much deeper, refreshing and joyful. I hope that this blog will help others see the benefits of living simply.

Day 1777 – Bret Was An Outstanding Senior!!!

Last night, we went to the Towson University Department of Kinesiology Awards and Recognition Dinner. Bret was honored as the Outstanding Senior in Physical Education/Teacher Education! I’m SO proud of him! It was awesome to hear one of his professors talk about him and how she sees him. I don’t get to see Bret in other environments like school or teaching, so it was really neat to experience that!

After the dinner we went to Padonia Ale House to celebrate! We got this MASSIVE plate of nachos! SO so good!

Day 1774 – Perks Of Bret’s Job

Bret’s day job is teaching Physical Education. He has a long term sub job at the moment and LOVES it!

Last week (or the week before?) was teacher appreciation week. He got some desserts and the like, but one student got him this! So cute!!

I’m so proud of my hubby and all he’s done since we got married! He went to school, worked close to full-time, worked with me and now has a degree! Oh you know, AND helped make it possible for me to quit my day job! Love that man!!!
