Day 1284 – I’m Just A Lump Of Clay

So, you know a few days ago, I went through an amazing transformation. Under the hand of very skilled artists and in a garment full of sparkles

I went from this….

To this…

I was thinking about how awesome it is to completely give yourself up to someone’s vision for you. Someone who has a skill you don’t have, who can see the rough product they’re working with and make something you’d NEVER imagine for yourself. And I realized how much this relates to our relationship with Christ.

When we give our lives to Him, we’re essentially saying, I can’t do this on my own, here’s my life. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen this true in my life. As I’ve been typing up my journals, I’m seeing patterns and how God has used different circumstances and trials to mold me into what He wants me to be. I gain the most growth when I say, you know what God, I have NO idea what I’m doing, you take the wheel! If I sat there under the brushes and hair spray and said, um, put this here, don’t do that there….they’d look at me like I was crazy. I have NO idea what I’m talking about. We even had a conversation on the drive home about doing a makeup class for makeup dummies. I seriously have NO idea what to do with my hair or makeup, it’s ridiculous! And that’s why my transformation was so shocking! That’s why people couldn’t recognize me. I hope that my life looks like that…that I’ve given up MY input on what GOD should do so much that I am half as beautiful on the inside as I was in that wedding gown.

So readers, be the clay.

Day 1283 – Amazing Customer Service At A Hunt Valley Movie Theater

Tonight I went to the movies at the Regal in Hunt Valley with my brother Josh. In the middle of the movie, one of the other viewers was, um, well….shoot, I’ll just say it…he was freakin’ wasted dude. It took a little while to get him removed, for various reasons. But after the movie, we went to the manager and he gave us free movie passes for the disturbance. I just wanted to share how great they were. Normally, when you watch the whole movie without complaining, they don’t do anything for you….since you watched it, you know? But it was a three hour movie, so we didn’t want to get up and then have to start it over again. So we were just SO grateful for how they handled it.

If you’re in the area, they’re a great theater! 🙂

And since I obviously didn’t take my camera, I didn’t have a picture to relate to this post….so here’s my penguin soap. Poor little guy is still stuck in there, but we hope to get him out soon!

Day 1282 – Life On The Go

Today has been quite the day! This morning we served at church. Our church have this awesome thing every Sunday morning….between 8:45 and 9:45, you can get a FREE cup of coffee! There is also juice and hot chocolate for the kiddies as well as tea. Every month there is a special drink. After that we ushered (collect tithes, etc).

Then we grabbed lunch with some friends and took a trip to Baltimore to check out a bridal show!

Next we came up to Wegman’s to kill time before our appointment with our March 2nd couple! What a great day!!!! I love my job!! I also love that I have Bret with me too. To work with my spouse is just awesome!
