Day 2205 – 98.4% Review Of Lego Jurassic World

Well, I’ve finished 98.4% of Lego Jurassic World. I did a partial review already. Here are my final thoughts.

Unfortunately, I got a glitchy one. My maps haven’t updated and my red brick and gold brick indicators go off when I’ve already gotten them on free world locations. Because of this, it’s a little tough to figure out what I’ve missed in the game.

BUT, this actually made it a little more fun. I enjoyed NOT knowing where things were.

All in all, this was a really fun game. Definitely one of my favorites in the Lego line.

Again, I loved the jump prompts.

I LOVED playing as a dinosaur!

There were a few things that were harder to get – I do look up walk throughs when I play the games – which I know you’ll say – why not just look them up to finish? Well, I probably will, but not today. 🙂

Have you tried it yet? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Day 2195 – Lego Jurassic World – My Partial Review

I had every intention of writing a thoughtful post today. I was going to share an interesting experience I had in California and how it applied to something I did today. My deeper posts tend to be ones that I think about for a while….some are a few days and some have gone as far back as months.

But that isn’t going to happen today.

A little update on my productivity in my work first. I had a big realization about myself yesterday….I hit a HUGE slump around 1:30/2ish (give or take on the day). At that point in the day, I’ve been awake for 8 hours, and doing work for about 6 hours…of course I get tired! Yesterday I thought, you know, let me make a list of things I need to do this afternoon when I get back from picking up Bret. I made a list and wouldn’t you know, it really jump started my motivation…I wanted to start right then! I also realized that during this slump, I need to be “allowed” to just veg and relax. It’s so easy for me to think I have to do SO much all the time, that I don’t enjoy the time I have to relax.

Today, I took my own advice….I rewrote what I wanted to accomplish this afternoon/evening, had a cup of coffee and played some video games. Let me just say, I freakin’ love the Lego video games. I don’t think I can fully put into words how much joy they give me.

So! I’m near the beginning of the third movie in Lego Jurassic World, which I bought for myself for my birthday. I haven’t had as much time to play, but things are finally calming down after our trip. So here are a few of my thoughts so far!

It’s a blast! You actually get to play as a DINOSAUR! WHAT? The first time I unlocked and got to play one, I yelled out “I’M A TRICERATOPS!” I’ve played a few others and every time, I’ll yell out “I’M A SOMETHING SOMETHING DINOSAUR!” The game plays a lot like previous Lego games (I’ve played Star Wars, Marvel Super Heroes and Batman 3: Beyond Gotham). The red bricks are blocks of amber! So clever. There have been a few little cameos so far too….but I won’t say what, in case you play. Your clue is “boat,” let me know when you find it. A difference in previous games is when you jump from object to object (think tall spots over a valley), instead of having to aim, you just have to press the jump button. For someone who doesn’t have the BEST skills in jumping, this is amazing.

It has been funny, easy to pick up and a HUGE game. Again, I’m still in the story mode, but all in all, I give it an A.
