Day 1365 – M.A.F.F. (Mid-Atlantic Fireworks Festival) – You HAVE To Go!!

Tonight we went to the Mid-Atlantic Fireworks Festival. My cousin was doing a tribute show for my grandfather, which was the only reason I went. I will admit, I didn’t think it would be all that great. Just a few fireworks.

Boy, was I WRONG!

It consisted of about 6 shows. About 5-10 minutes for each show. They were choreographed to music…and just stunning.

They were fireworks like I remembered as a kid…where they were SO BIG you thought they’d fall on you (which wasn’t too far off as we were RIGHT THERE)….and they lasted forever. There were several times I wasn’t taking pictures and just standing there with that “mouth-hanging-open-starring-into-space-completely-and-totally-in-awe-of-something” kid face. I really miss being a kid.

Here’s a few videos of the show (I did NOT do these). There are a few others on this guy’s page! Enjoy!

Day 1088 – Oregon Ridge Fireworks With Some Seriously Awesome People

Today we hung out with some friends near Oregon Ridge. We brought all kinds of goodies for a small cookout, hanging out and fireworks. I’m so thankful for this group of friends…yet I didn’t take any pictures of them….I was having too much fun chatting!! We stayed until after dark to watch the fireworks from a distance, I DID get pictures of those! I love the full moon above them!!

Day 723 – Fourth of July Fun

So, we decided to hang out with my family on the 4th…but we didn’t go to fireworks…I was a little bummed about this, so I bought some ground fireworks sparklers. I was really excited to use them…so I lit off a few before dark.

See, I got mini fireworks!!

I had a “happy meal”

We had just finished dinner and I was sitting outside with my brother Josh…we saw a flash and realized there were fireworks! So we jumped up, I yelled in to my family “REAL FIREWORKS! REAL FIREWORKS! COME HERE NOW!” I only got the picture above.

Here’s everyone, minus me, waiting for more. I love that Gretchen (the dog) is sitting waiting as well. But, that was the last one, so we set off our own!

Doesn’t this one look like a galaxy? I love it!
