One of the questions I hear most often about my blog is “How can you blog EVERY SINGLE DAY?”
I’m going to be honest with you, sometimes it really sucks. There are days I have NO idea what to blog about.
But most days, here is my thought process.
1. Is today an anniversary of a previous client? (I keep track of these with Outlook reminders)
2. Do I have a recent session to blog?
3. Did I do something fun with Bret today or in the past few days?
4. Did I learn a lesson today?
5. Is today a significant date?
If I can’t come up with something by going through that list, I look through my previous years/days. Sometimes I try to find something I did on that day a year or more ago. Sometimes this leads to a “wow, look how far I’ve come” or a “wow, I really need to work on that!” Sometimes it’s a fun reminder.
Sometimes I look back over my recent blog posts to see if I can add to something I already posted about.
All in all, it’s a systematic process AND a haphazard process….much like my brain. 😉
What about you? Do you blog daily? What is your process?
