Day 658 – Clear Vase + Corks + Rings + Colored Rocks = Awesome

This week at work, some ladies from the Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel came in and gave us some materials about their venue (beautiful by the way!) and also a neat plastic vase. I had cleaned the apartment after the Princess Party. It was great to have the kitchen table cleaned! When we went cross country in December, we stopped at one of the many gift shops and bought some rocks…you know, the as many as you can fit in this bag for 5 bucks type…I’ve been meaning to find a neat “presentation” for them…and I figured that out tonight! The vase! So, I poured in the rocks…they were way too low in the vase…so I searched the apartment for something to raise them up….We have also been collecting corks for our friends for a project they want to do down the road….and there was an “ah ha!” moment and this was the result! (I think I spent 10-20 minutes getting the corks just right) I love that our wedding picture is in the background. It’s this beautiful collection of memories….the wedding….the many bottles of wine….and the road trip. It was also great taking a picture for me…setting something up for MY purposes. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE photographing for others. I could write for hours about how much I absolutely adore documenting my dear client’s lives. But…it’s easy to get caught up in taking pictures only when I’m getting paid for it (heck editing pictures for that matter! It’s almost embarrassing how many personal pictures I haven’t edited yet)…so this was a great treat!

Day 657 – A Princess Party!

Tonight I went to a Princess Party! The idea was – dress up in something that makes you feel like a princess and then we would watch the Royal Wedding! The host (first row 3rd from the right) wore her wedding dress! I was going to wear mine too…but I think it might still smell like the Gunpowder River from my Trash the Dress with Shawna Sherrell, password: River

Day 652 – The Sweetest Husband

On a day when most people are taking pictures of eggs and trees and lots of pretty things….I thought this moment was the best. We were driving to my parents’ house, the windows were down, it was absolutely beautiful! Bret put his hand on my knee and said something along the lines of “my woman.” So simple, yet, it was the highlight of my day. : )
