Day 1727 – What People Are Saying About My Album Reconstruction Business

You may remember the stolen album that I reconstructed about a month ago. Well, the daughter got a thank you note and has graciously (with mom’s permission of course) let me share that note! Here’s the text!

“Dear Tammie,

Thank you so much for the wonderful 30th anniversary gift, our wedding album. The album means so much to me; it brings back so many memories.

You took the time to give us a gift that means the world to me. I am looking forward to the photo session when the weather warms up.

With all my love,
Mom”

If you’re looking for an anniversary gift for your parents, shoot me a message and I’d love to help you out!!

Day 1726 – Making Time For Each Other

Yesterday, I had a meetup with a few local photographers. Turns out where we were meeting was pretty close to Bret’s school! I called him up on my way down and invited him out to get a beer! We arrived within about 5 minutes of each other. We grabbed a few beers and it was just awesome to catch up and hang out. Our lives are sometimes pretty busy with everything we have going on, so we sometimes have to get creative with spending time together. 🙂

How do you spend time together when you’re busy?

Day 1725 – What How I Met Your Mother Taught Me About Life – No Spoilers

I watched the finale of How I Met Your Mother last night…I know there are two camps here….the “oh my gosh, I LOVED the ending!” and the “SERIOUSLY? That’s it???” I will say I am happy with how it ended. Again, no spoilers here, but the ending got me thinking about life in general. Here are a few of my thoughts.

1. Life never happens how you expect it to.
2. Your journey may start one way and you think it’s going to end a certain way. In someways, it will, but in others it will be far better than you ever imagined.
3. Some friends will stay in your life forever. Through every peak and valley. Every joy and every heartbreak.
4. Some friends will go away for a while. Some will stay away and some will come back. It doesn’t mean they were a bad friend or a good friend. But that’s just life.
5. You never know how something will end until the end.
6. Some things are meant to be, even if you deny them up and down.
7. Sometimes it takes someone else telling you something to make you believe it.
8. Nothing good happens after 2 a.m.
9. When you look back on your life, you can see how everything worked together.
10. Life can be absolutely hilarious and absolutely heartbreaking at the same time.

Hey, look, we actually took a picture of us….together…watching the show!!

Day 1722 – We Love Seeing Our Previous Clients!!!

Today we attended the baby shower of our previous clients, the Bolsters! It was so good to see them again! They got married 1198 days ago! We haven’t seen them for a few years, so it was great to catch up with them and their family! We had a few quizzical looks, like, “hey, how do I know you?” “Oh!!! The photographers!!” I always jokingly hold up an invisible camera and say “does this help?” Ah, Jen jokes. I crack myself up. 🙂

Here’s their awesome cake!!
