Day 1153 – Rocky Point Beach and Park in Essex Maryland

Today I wanted to share the picture from Rocky Point Beach and Park in Essex Maryland I took a few days ago.

I only got one shot because it was almost about to rain and we had taken a ton of pictures already that day.

Anyways, I was very surprised by this place! I’d never heard of it and it’s AMAZING! A beach, picnic tables, spots to fish. Just beautiful! I can’t wait to photograph here!

While we were leaving, I told Bret I really want to start actually looking into places around Maryland because it really is a neat state!

Day 1151 – Gunpowder Falls State Park – Big Gunpowder Falls Section in Perry Hall MD

Here are the shots I promised from Gunpowder Falls State Park – Big Gunpowder Falls Section.

What I love most about this spot is how easy it is to get to, driving and walking wise. We barely walked a quarter of a mile to take all of these shots. I’d also like to try running here one day. Nice flat path and BEAUTIFUL scenery.

Day 1129 – Honoring A Great Friend

I recently got back in touch with a very dear friend. I met Heather when I worked at Target in 2005-2006 and we became good friends. She bought me this mug…which reminds me of her every time I drink out of it!

Fast forward to my wedding in 2009 and she was such a HUGE help! I still can’t believe how much she did for us. Driving around Bret’s family, picking up coffee for me the morning of, serving food, cleaning up, taking Bret’s family back to the airport. It still makes me want to cry. She was a blessing beyond words.

This picture was taken the first time we saw each other after the ceremony. It’s one of my favorite pictures from the wedding because it really shows just how excited Heather was for us! Thank you to Shawna Sherrell Photography for capturing this moment!

Now, as life goes, sometimes you lose touch with people. Sometimes for no reason at all, just life. And, as it goes…she isn’t on Facebook, which is my main connector for a number of my friends, especially the ones that live far away! I lost touch with Heather until her mom (also an AMAZING woman) invited me to a surprise party for Heather’s 30th birthday. When she walked through the door, we met eyes and totally lost it. I can’t tell you how many tears fell that day at her party! I was so blessed to be a part of a huge blessing for her! Since then, I have hung out with Heather several times. We’ve had amazing conversations about our lives since then and namely AMAZING conversations about what God has been doing in each of our lives. Honestly, it’s like NO time has passed. I love friendships like that. I love you Heather!!
