A year and a half ago, I watched The Lego Movie for the first time. I don’t remember much of it. Bret tells me I made a comment about the the theme song being about brainwashing kids to be on a team. Why don’t I remember much? Well, I was too intoxicated to remember.

I have a lot of non-memories like this. There are so many spans of time that are gone. There are great moments with friends and family that are fuzzy. I have a hard enough time trying to remember what happened yesterday!

I watched The Lego Movie again today, completely sober. It’s really rather good! So many half jokes and witty jokes. As I was watching, I was thinking how thankful I am that God finally got through to me and changed my heart and my desires. People ask how I was able to quit and it is 100% God. Not 50/50 or even 10% me. He gave me the strength to follow His commands. He opened my eyes to my sin. 0% me.

I have no “great goal” for this post….just wanting to give a big shout out to the guy upstairs (yes, movie reference), and say thanks. 🙂
