I wanted to give a little more information about a new part of my business, reconstructing albums.
The idea is that you have pictures, whether in an album that’s falling apart or just scattered around your home that you would like to put in a nice, formal album.
Some examples would be:
What are the limitations?
How does much does it cost?
It depends on the number of pictures, the size of the album and how many layouts (sides) we create.
A recent reconstruction was a 15 page (30 side album), with 48 pictures (24 8×10’s and 24 3.5×5/4×6’s), Madison Non-Leather in Pearl, two lines of imprinting – was just over $1,000.
Given that this album was received right before their 35 year anniversary, I’d say that’s a small price to pay. 🙂 I still get teary eyed thinking about that.
Any questions I didn’t answer?
Let me know and I’ll update the post!! (Comments below are good too!)

As you know, I’ve been reading a lot recently. I highly recommend reading and reading a lot…especially for a business owner. I can’t remember where I heard/read/whatever about this book, but I added it to my list. The book is Contagious by Jonah Berger. Holy smokes it’s good! In just the introduction, I already had several ideas about my business! I can’t wait to finish it and apply what I’ve learned!
Interesting fact…only 7% of word of mouth happens online. I was totally shocked. I really thought it was more. I’m already rethinking some of my strategies for finding clients based on this.
What about you, are you shocked at that percentage?

I have been pretty much no good to anyone since I got home from vacation. Man! I’ve never had so much trouble getting back in the groove after vacation! I’m slowly but surely getting off my butt and getting things done!
This week’s project is a website tweak/overhaul/sortof.
Now, you may know I update my website quite a bit…A major change here, a minor change there. But this is the FIRST time I’ve actually really planned it out. Including, what do I want people to do on each page. A thing that I’m like, really Jen? You couldn’t take a few extra hours to figure that out before? (Shakes fist at “past Jen”) I’m also looking into things like how to get prospects fill out your form. It’s fascinating how much info is on the web! As well as in my copious amounts of notes over the years. One of the biggest struggles I think business owners face is using the information they receive properly. And boy howdy, there is a LOT of it! I’m overwhelmed just with the 3-4 articles INC posts every day on their Facebook page! I’m working on a system to process the information I read as well as scheduling time to read the information. Ahhhh, I love information! It’s pretty intoxicating! (Says the one who has 14 books out of the library right now!…on top of the other 5 books I’m reading in my own collection…)
So what about you? What is your biggest business challenge? And what system do you have in place to take in information and use it for your business (or life, or wedding, or family, or whatever?)
And no picture today, because I gotta get to work on all of this information! 😉
