About 365 days of marriage

I started this blog in April of 2011. At the time, Bret and I were wedding photographers and it was a way to share how marriage is more about the day to day and so much more than the wedding day itself. For about 5 years, I blogged about the joys and sorrows of the Christian walk, marriage, work, family and friends. I’ve blogged every day since a few weeks after I started. In May of 2015, we photographed our last wedding. Now, I have become passionate about simplicity, particularly in marriage, Christianity, business, travel and life. For a number of reasons, we have become minimalists. I’ve found that having simplicity makes life so much deeper, refreshing and joyful. I hope that this blog will help others see the benefits of living simply.

Day 1140 – Favorite Vendors – Hair Design by Abby – Bel Air, Maryland Hair and Makeup Artist

Abby of Hair Design by Abby has become my favorite hair and makeup artist! She has also become my go-to hair dresser! Even though I only get haircuts…no colorings or anything fancy…she’s amazing every time!!!

Here’s a few shots from the style shoot where she did CRAZY hair and makeup!

Day 1138 – The Day Bret Came Back…With A Lot Of Hair!

Today I picked up Bret from his travels with the Rebel Race. One thing he didn’t take was a razor. No lie, I laughed out loud when I saw his crazy long hair.

We had talked about going into Philly for a surprise dinner (he told me later he was going to take me to Gino’s). But it had already been a long day for both of us…he had driven 6-8 hours, I had driven 3 to get him…so we decided to stop at Cracker Barrel instead. It was a great choice!

Another reason we stopped there instead of Philly, was we were rushing to get home and attack this!!
