I cannot tell you how excited I am for tomorrow! My dear, dear friend, Tif is getting married. She is one of my oldest friends. I’m SO grateful we have stayed friends over the years and I am SO excited to see (and photograph) her get married to Rob!
Yesterday was the rehearsal and I got a peek at all of the fun details they have planned! I CANNOT wait to share!!! I won’t give away any surprises now, because some of you will be at the wedding! But, here are a few of my favs from the rehearsal. π
I might actually attempt 3 cameras tomorrow! Yikes! But it will be worth it!

Mmmm, love a man with a camera. π

Rob was smiling SO big every time he saw Tif walk down the aisle during the rehearsal. I cannot wait to see his face tomorrow!

You may remember, if you’ve read my blog a long time, when I got a bar of soap from MitzyMade. If not, it was 262 days ago! She gave me a soap with a penguin trapped in the middle. Well, he’s finally free!!!

I’ve been spending the last few days filling my brain Matrix style with information about off-camera flash….and it’s been working!
After a little snafu today, I think I’m good to go!
Here’s a few of my test shots….first of my new lens…

This one isn’t totally in focus, but too funny to keep to myself!

Oh my goodness my ring shots are going to be epic!

And some with off-camera flash! My “model” is a character….

As you may have seen (if you’re reading this “real-time”), I’ve been slacking with the blog posting! If you’re reading this “later-time,” then you have no idea what I’m talking about…so read on reader. π
You may have also seen that I’ve been housesitting since last Tuesday…I kept up a little bit…but not much… I’ve had a WONDERFUL time here! From Wednesday through Saturday, my youngest brother hung out here (since Bret was backpacking and I didn’t want to be alone!)….we spent pretty much the whole time watching ALL 3 seasons of Downton Abbey. Holy smokes! I still don’t know why I liked it so much…I guess mostly the character development….yea, no idea. Sunday was filled with church and things around the house…Monday was my errand day! Got a new camera body, lens AND flash, as you saw. I started to get back into the work swing of things…I have a wedding this weekend AND next!…vacation time is over! I am so thankful for more time off though. It’s been great getting so much rest. Now I’m all ready to photograph some AWESOME weddings! Both are outside….doing a few rain dances for June 15th and June 21st!!!! Both have some fantastic details that I’ve never seen/shot before! But you’ll just have to wait and see what those are!
I’ve also been thinking a lot about how awesome Bret is….I know, I know, I say this often…but it is a blog about marriage, so you should expect it! Anyways…he has been working so hard for us so that I can do photography full-time. It is something that I appreciate so very very much. What better way to show this than by sharing a picture that almost completely represents this! What I also love about Bret, this shot and the photography business is that he enjoys it as much as I do. π Love you Mr. Gaitan.
