I was looking back over some of my old pictures and the one below came up. I love this picture. It was taken randomly while we were camping with friends. I decided to pull the image and blog about it in some way. I was struck with the thought that you can see the beams of light so clearly because of the dust in the air.

Let’s look at this in terms of us and God. We are dirty, messed up people. There is so much bad and sin in our lives. But when we allow God to work through us and even highlight our sin, God is shown as so beautiful and we glorify him.

So if you’re feeling pretty bad about yourself today, remember this:

“But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong.” 1 Corinthians 1:27.
