So, you know I shot a wedding yesterday. It was a ten hour shooting day. Then another 4-5 hours of downloading after we arrived home. Long, tiring, AWESOME day. Yesterday’s awesomeness made it very hard to get out of bed this morning. So much so that I arrived at the Susan G. Komen run about 25 minutes before race time! I was already freaking out because it wasn’t until I was about to leave that I realized that my number and chip were back at the apartment. So I REALLY needed to meet up with my group so I could run with someone who had a number to get a good read on my time! So I FINALLY find a parking spot at 7:45. I RAN down to meet my group, hitting my head on a tree branch AND almost running into another group that I knew. I just kept praying that I would find someone in my group! Thankfully, I found my friend Marcy as she was walking to the start. Whew! Funny part? She didn’t have her number either! Even funnier? I finished with my fasted 5k time ever….about 35 minutes…and it wasn’t recorded. Ah well. š
I didn’t have my camera this year, so here’s a shot from last year…

I want to also add that my dear, sweet siblings took it upon themselves to run, with their Team Martha shirts on, 3.1 miles in Lake Placid. What an awesome thing to do. I found this out RIGHT before the race, which made me cry. š
Oh, I did get a shot of this year’s shirt!
